We’ve designed the Voqa EV Charger to be as user friendly as possible. But we get it, its understandable if you don’t feel completely comfortable using it for the first time. This guide breaks each step down for you.

⚠️ Important safety notice: If you’re driving a rare ‘State D’ electric vehicle (you would know if you were), please see the warning notice at the bottom of this page.


Voqa user guide, step 1 insert charging cable

Take an available charging cable and plug it into your vehicle.

Tap your card to activate the charger. Expect an authorisation fee.

Awaiting payment confirmation from your bank.

Voqa user guide, step 3.1 try payment again

Payment has failed. Try tapping again. If the issue persists, try another card or contact your bank.

Voqa user guide, step 3.2 restart payment process

After x3 failed attempts, unplug the charging cable and try payment process again.

Payment successful, go on to Step 5.

Charger is preparing to start.

You’re all set, your vehicle is charging.

Voqa user guide, step 7 remove cable when ready

To remove the charging cable, unlock via your vehicle or vehicle app.

Step 8. Return the charging cable tidily to its hook and holster.

Return the cable tidily.

⚠️ Important safety notice

Ventilation and charging restrictions:
This AC charging equipment is designed for charging electric vehicles that do not require ventilation of the charging area during operation. In accordance with IEC 61851-1, vehicles that require ventilation correspond to State D charging conditions. This charger does not support State D operation and cannot control or monitor ventilation systems. Do not use this charging station to charge vehicles that require ventilation of the charging area. Charging such vehicles may result in unsafe conditions and will void the product’s compliance certification. Ensure that the charging area complies with all applicable safety, environmental, and ventilation requirements for typical electric vehicle operation (State C).
