Voqa achieves EVCI’s VeriCharge Diamond Standard - independent accreditation confirms its chargers deliver every kilowatt-hour billed.

Precision testing by EVCI Global at the Glove Factory Studios site confirms the Voqa One passes the most rigorous independent accuracy standard in UK commercial EV charging at a time when 40% of chargers on the market fall outside accepted tolerances.

Voqa, a new to market AC charger, has been awarded the VeriCharge Diamond Standard by EVCI Global as part of its new offer to raise the bar for EV drivers. EVCI Global is the UK’s first independent EV charger inspection and accreditation organisation, created to address a real and growing problem: EV drivers being billed for energy they never received.

The VeriCharge Diamond Standard is awarded exclusively to EV chargers that pass precision testing across every output head, using ±0.1% lab-grade meters verified against MID Class A standards. A single failure disqualifies a site; there are no averages, no exceptions. EVCI's own data shows that 40% of AC chargers examined in the UK to date fall outside the ±2% accuracy threshold.

The Voqa One passed without exception.

EVCI's inspector visited Voqa's pilot site at Glove Factory Studios in Holt (Wiltshire), where the Voqa One units were tested under real-world conditions. The results confirmed what Voqa's engineering team had already established in internal testing. The findings were also consistent with the company's wider pilot performance data: 99% successful charge rate and 100% charger availability across all sites.

“We couldn’t be happier that the Voqa One sailed through EVCI’s testing. EV drivers have a simple expectation: that the energy they pay for is the energy that reaches their battery. Independent certification is what turns that expectation into a fact. It’s the foundation of trust between a driver, a venue, and a charger. And now we have it.”

Becky Lalanne, Managing Director, Voqa

For Voqa, a business built on the belief that commercial EV charging should be effortless and genuinely trustworthy, the VeriCharge Diamond Standard adds a further layer of independent credibility at a pivotal moment. As the company scales from pilot to commercial rollout, the accreditation will be displayed at all VeriCharge compliant sites and featured prominently in materials for channel partners and prospective site hosts.

Voqa has committed to annual re-testing of its network to maintain the accreditation as its fleet grows, and has said it hopes billing accuracy will eventually be embedded within UKCA and EU product certifications as a standard compliance requirement.

“The accuracy results recorded at the Holt site were exceptional, and exactly the kind of performance the VeriCharge Diamond Standard was created to recognise. I was equally impressed by the thoughtful design of the tethered Voqa One chargers - they combine technical precision with a genuinely user-friendly experience that stands out in today’s EV charging market.”
